I didn't get a chance to watch it live, but the pundits on CNN and MSNBC seem to hate it which makes me think it was a great speech.

I've been watching the highlights on Fox News this afternoon, and I completely agree with your assessment. He put aside political correctness and called a spade a spade... while looking presidential to boot! The man is coming around.
