![]() This rugged, pocket friendly wind meter turns your smartphone into a high-tech meteorological tool. Works with iPhone® 4, 4S, 5 and Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, S4. Made of a one-piece durable plastic rotor and low-friction Teflon bearing, the wind meter communicates directly to the magnetic field sensor in your smartphone. Downloadable, free app allows you to register actual, mean and max wind speed on a smooth graph that supports both drag and pinch to zoom in on all the details. Reviews are good. I want one $50 at West Marine http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs...04#showReviews uploadfromtaptalk1389935918791.jpg Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk |

Pinch some grass off the ground hold it head high and drop it. You can see the wind direction and from how far it lands away from you the wind speed.

If you are on the water, you can use popcorn or potato chips to do the same thing. This would serve three purposes 1. Wind direction 2. Wind speed 3. Alert the yahoos to come fish the birds when they start picking!
