Another Incredible Day catching 10-26-13

Trey Jackson, Kevin Melton, and Colby Buller from Alexandria fished with me today. Trey's wife surprised him with a fishing trip for his birthday!! We departed the Reel Inn a little after daybreak. Our first stop found shrimp jumping and birds diving but not one keeper trout, all were dinks. Off we went to the honey hole and it was on!! 14-16 inch fish coming in one after another with a few doubles mixed in. The bite didn't last as long as it has been, but we were happy to box right at 30 fish. We made a move finding a few more fish scattered over some protected reefs. We made a move looking for reds, and found mostly trout, one bass, and a beast of a red hitting the new Spartacus Vortex Shad. The trout were loving the Pink Champagne Matrix Shad and were hitting them like there was no tomorrow. I told the guys we would add some variety to the box on some bait shrimp at the end so off whe went. The guys caught flounder, puppy drum, reds, and Bay Snapper......it was a great finish to a incredible day. Thanks again guys for a very enjoyable day whacking the fish!!!
