Default Pot licker got pot licked....

Jumped in the water this morning and waded out despite the really high tides. After about 15 minutes I get on fish, then a 16 ft flat comes trolling up wind about 300 yrds to within casting distance. I give them the finger eleven but apparently is received as some sort of invitation to troll circles around me. The quality of trout went downhill fast but I was still able to catch fish all the while these two guys raided their tackle box trying to find that magic lure I was throwing... I had the exact same thing happen last spring. Jumped out the boat caught a 4 on the first cast and a 3.5 on second then a flat passing by saw the road doubled and hooked in. Then proceeded to b$&(@ at us that we were fishing to close to him.

Nice fish, No matter what happens out on the water on a typical Monday like today I'm stuck in the office looking at a computer all day.

My dad taught me when I was young to let some slack in your line when a boat is passing so no one stops to fish your spot. Then when you not catching fish and a boat is coming up on you you step on your line and act like you catching a fish.

Yeah. I try and keep my down when I notice a boat coming but it's hard when a 4 # trout just mashed a corky.

You right about that. During one of my long stare downs one almost took the rod out of my hand. Forgot to mention in the original report that i was throwing a day glow paul brown original.
