Default v-bay 9-26-09

Went out to the trash pile today with my dad,against my better judgement(the people are crazy on the weekends)but we still managed to catch 34 trout,20 were really nice 3 lbs avarage,the others were about 14",sorry no pic's don't no how to get them on here,my 11 year old daughter said she will show me tommorow after we get back from deer hunting,it's youth weekend and she is determined to go,even in this heat.

Nice man.....we caught 20 trout under the birds in the cove,and you are right about the weekend warriors we were catching trout and boats would run up on us with there outboard...gotta love it

Awesome, I need to get out there and do some fishing. I have to make sure the weather's good though or I'll catch some hell in my lil 16' Alumacraft.

Thanks but I usually dock at my grandparents south of Delcambre in Bayou Tigre, we have our own launch and it's only about a 15 minute ride to the bay. As long as it's not too rough I can go to trashpile and sharks bayou, that whole area, but not much further than that. 1 time a couple months ago I was actually able to make it all the way to marsh island and I was ecstatic lol. As you can imagine, it was one of those very rare days that the water looked like glass it was so smooth.

Guys,

How deep is the water at the trash pile? Are the trout usually suspended there or on the bottom?

6-8 foot.....all depends,sometimes they will hit topwater....sometimes there dead on the bottom
