Gone Pecan rodeo acadiana Marina - Places to fish?

I was thinking of going to the Gone Pecan Fishing rodeo on Aug 24-25th at Acadiana Marina. And, by the way, this is for a very good cause. But after looking at the map, I'm not sure where to fish other than the gulf of mexico. You guy's have any idea's where to fish other than the gulf (for this rodeo) located around Acadiana Marina?
