replacing rod guides
I have several rods that need one or more line guides replaced. They have either lost the insert or have cracked. They are not expensive rods, lightning rods, ugly stick saltwater etc.
I would like to replace the broken guides myself if possible, so I started to research the process and parts on the internet.
From what I can tell , it is fairly complex and requires lots of repair stuff purchased (glue, wrapping, lacquer, rod dryer?) plus a fair bit of work to get it done right.
Am I wrong here? Is there a shop around LC that does these repairs? Is it worth it for a $35 rod? Help, I need GUIDANCE!
