Toledo Bend 03/24/12
Me the wife and the dog went to the Indian Creek area Saturday morning. Started fishing right at the landing. Throwing a rogue. Had several fish come up and look at it but no takers. Switched to watermelon red fluke and started getting strikes with a one or two small ones. Long story short we tried deep, shallow, clear water, dirty water, etc..... Caught around 5-6 with 2 keepers. I caught them spinnerbaits, flukes, carolina rigged flukes, Texas rigged watermelon red speedcraw. Saw some decent sized fish shallow but wouldnt bite. Made a quick trip to Mill Creek with not even a bite. We did see three huge balls of ants in the water. That gave me the hibbi jibbies. Seeing the lake back up to its normal leval was kinda strange looking. Maybe next time I'll have different outcome. I said that last time. Oh well it was good getting out and enjoying Gods awesome outdoors.
