Triton Sea Flight 22

I have always heard the Sea Flight 22 was a great all-around boat that is capable of light offshore use and also the bays. Anybody have any experience with them? I had a Triton Sea Flight but it was a 20 foot model and only owned it a short time before Katrina took it away from me.

My only experience was a 3-day charter with Capt. Erik Rue a few years back on Big Lake. The lake was slick as snot all 3 days, so, I can't attest to the slop, but, the boat is plenty roomy and tracks true. Seems plenty stable.

My buddy has one, fishes Breton sound and Venice in it.
Very capable of light offshore and bays fishing.
Not super shallow; but can still chase reds.
Good size front deck and a whole lotta "freeboard".
He has a 225 Honda on it.
Scoots pretty well.

Thanks, that is pretty much what I have heard. More offshore capable than most but not quite as shallow.

I don't know if the guys that responded know that the sea flight is NOT the regular triton bay boat . I have a 24' LTSpro , and love it. The pics of the sea flight I saw look like it may be a rolled gunnel boat so that will be a lighter boat which may cause a bumpy ride, my 24' is one heavy mother and you can tell when running through the slop it just plows!

I think Capt. D or Deadly D, has a rolled gunnel Triton.

Yes, pox is right.
It's not a double wall hull boat.
It's much lighter then the Lts model.
It does have more "V" which makes it ride good for a lighter boat.
Also most have an open rear.
Meaning no deck or storage.

The Sea Flight doesn't even look like a bay boat coNpared to the LTS series. The one I fished out of did not have a rear deck, either. No leaning post, either. The dude stood on a plaskit 5-gal bucket with a pair of binoculars.

Yea; I've seen em very basic & stripped.
When my buddy bought his it was just a console and 3 storage compartments up front.
He had the rear deck custom made & added his leaning post.
