For the past 23 years since our moving here to Arcadia, Louisiana, hunters of wildlife have slandered, threatened, shot at, and harassed the non-hunting public. Bienville Parish law enforcement here promotes hunting and slaughter of wildlife at non-hunters tax-paying expense. The Quality of Life of non-hunters is diminished because non-hunters and The Gay, Lesbian, Transgendered, and Bisexual Communities are threatened by either intentional and/or reckless gunfire from hunters of wildlife.
“Every year when deer hunting season starts and bullets are discharged from the rifles of hunters of wildlife across private property of non-hunters, non-hunters live in fear of being maimed and/or killed by hunters of wildlife. “The phones at the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s office immediately start ringing with non-hunters requesting help because hunters are shooting high powered rifles with reckless regard close to the non-hunting families home, illegally trespassing on non-hunters land, and/or shooting deer on non-hunters property. Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries phone lines become no more than a busy signal because the non-hunting citizens lives are being threatened and harassed by hunters of wildlife. ”I was told the above statements by a Louisiana Wildlife & Fisheries administrator in Baton Rouge and a former Bienville Parish/County Deputy Sheriff of Arcadia, Louisiana.
When hunters of wildlife find out that you do NOT want your family or yourself threatened by their criminal acts, hunters of wildlife will commit the following crimes:
* Drive by shooting towards your home and property, sometimes using pistols, shotguns, rifles, and/or assault weapons with large rounds of bullets with “banana” clips attached.
* Dump deer carcasses and or pieces of deer in your ditch and driveway.
* Trash your ditch and/or your yard with beer cans/bottles, empty ice bags, and other litter.
* Yell and scream towards you vulgar comments about you.
* Yell and scream calling you, ”faggots, homosexuals, queers, etc”, even if you are not gay, these hunters of wildlife will target you with their homophobic neanderthal and malevolent behavior.
* Stop in front of your home and pull down their pants and urinate and/or defecate directly in front of you, while looking at you and laughing.
* Shoot their hunting dog or someone else’s hunting dogs, then dump the dog’s carcasses in your ditch for you to find and bury.
* If you are gay, hunters will target you. Hunters of wildlife claim, “Gays don’t hunt wildlife and gays have no rights to any peace.”
We have filed 84 + police reports with the Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office in Arcadia, Louisiana. We were told recently, “All of our filed police reports (some of which were hand written in front of officers) were destroyed.” All of the gun violence directed towards us and the drive-by shooting's from hunters' is still occurring! Bienville Parish law enforcement looks the other direction and ultimately supports hunters and their exploits using Non-Hunters taxpaying money.
We, the undersigned, are requesting the Permanent Banning of hunting in The State of Louisiana starting with Bienville Parish/County, Louisiana and the Banning of Deer hunting throughout The United States.
