I have had my wifes Grand Cherokee in a couple of times for little stuff and they were fine...

Ran into a guy with a 1 ton diesel who was about to loose his flippin' mind in there one day... He was one unhappy camper

First of all i bought the Dodge because of the Cummings only, i needed a diesel to pull my 34 foot 5th wheel which i use for my work and the Cummings is second to none in MY OPINION, Now for the first 75 thousand miles not a lick of problems. And i still have no engine issues, IT"S ALL emission stuff. Last month it left me on the road, the emission control crap implicated by our west coast lefties due to global freaken warming shut me down. I was out of town and had to take it to the nearest dealer, i was in Beaumont so took it to mike smith, lots of warranty work was done and it cost me about 800 bucks, now 3000 miles later all the alarms are going off again, i took it to mark dodge where i bought the truck. They keep it for 4 days and tell me yesterday that they will not work on it due to mike smith did the warranty work. It's not all mark dodges fault I guess but heck, the warranty work is between them and Chrsler, not me! I just want the work done local not Beaumont! Chrysler tells them i need to take it back to who did the warranty work which makes no sense to me. Mark Dodge did little to fight on my behalf, threw me to the curve. They told me I had 7 grand worth of work to be done but would not do it even if Chrysler approved it! Said they may get stiffed by them. So i get the truck to mike smiths and they look at it, they tell me all it is is the Turbo, needs cleaning and maybe a new one, they don't have a clue where the 7 grand in repairs is. So now i'm wondering if they ever even looked at it! So now I need a rental and attempt to get a rental car, no freakin rentals in all of beaumont, have to have a buddy come pick me up and bring me back to big lake, just borrowed a truck from a buddy of mine that his daughter drives that has COWGIRL UP on the back window! Guys at the refinery are going to just love that! Just not a very good last few days for me.

Not an advocate of lawyers BUT, this is an instance that I would hire one!
Get a good one and start looking at Fords so when Chrysler buys your truck back in 6 months you'll have a ride.

Cowgirl up!!! Take a picture of that I want to see it

What the hell would have happened if you were in Kansas or somewhere way off & had it worked on by a dealership there? That's BULL!@#$! When I was in Hackberry a couple years ago I took my 5.9L to Mark Dodge for a couple injectors that were bad & it was still under warranty they wouldn't touch it! I remember leaving there with a servere case of the redass! I let em know what I thought about them before I left in front of everyone & customers in the service dept! I started to go up front & raise hell in front of everyone that was trying to buy a new vehicle but I didn't feel like meeting LCPD that day. Had to bring it back to Baton Rouge to get it fixed.

I had the 2006 with a 5.9 and it was a great engine and truck, last of the breed. I hat to hear that they did that because they took good care of me, only problem I had was bad fuel which was $6000 in repairs but my insurance picked it up.

They are out of their minds! Chrysler is Chrysler! You need to be on the phone with corporate! They don't want to do the work because they are afraid that the company they fly a flag for will stiff em? I've never even heard of this!

A guy that does work for us from texas had a prob with his 09 dodge diesel...towed it to mark dodge because he was in LA...they estimated 10k in damage, the culprit being water in the gas tank and then it screwed up the engine. The repair estimate paperwork that the repair guy showed him had another guys name and he would not let the guy I know make a copy of it.

Contacted a lawyer, who had just won a case agians M dodge. decided to take it to a guy in Buna Tx and he fixed it $400+. The problem...his emisson monitors...did not use the lawyer b/c of cost...

I wouldn't buy a vehicle from M dodge...thats for sure
