Default Not This Weekend

Well this weekend the new boat went fishing for two days, and came back empty both days. With all the wind I knew it would be good, but my boys kept after me to go Saturday so we went to the Cyp. Pt. We fished the marsh around Shark Bayou and Weeks Bay only a few croakers. Today after much deliberation I took my boys up on their option to go to Rockefeller, came back with a few pounds of shrimp, but no fish. The water in Refuge near the landing all the way to dam, (big dam on left) was COMPLETE MUD, I thought for a moment that the canal had silted in and was running on mud flat. Fished the Bertrand and surrounding area, only caught two rat reds and again a couple croakers. At least we came in with enough shrimp to make a sauce.

Thanks for the report! Sounds like a great day with the kiddies!
Fishing is fishing. We don't go catching... A good day on the water is a good day on the water!
Happy Fathers Day!!!!!!!!
