Default Big Lake 5-15

My uncle & I hit the lake early this morning (CAL PT). The wind was blowing more than we thought. Ended with 27 specs and 1 red. Most were caught on the Tsunami swin shad. Sorry for the pic quality!

Nice job with all of this wind, I was up early at my camp (after night fishing) and throwing the football with my son, I blamed my throws on the wind...

Thanks for the report, much appreciated.

Some places had several of those big schools of small bait fish but we really did not catch nothing casting into them. We caught 8-10 under birds and the rest on a reef. I must admit when we got to the landing and I saw the wind, I wanted to turn around but for once my uncle was right....LOL

You did better than us - we had 10 trout, and 3 flatties, including one right at 4 lbs. That wind direction made it fun today...

the water on the east side looked pretty good yesterday, but the water in turners and the ship chanel was absolutely terrible. About half way from turners to the Hebert's area and the water started looking better. But by the time we found the good water it was too late in the day. We had a horrible trip yesterday didnt do much catchin.

Well you did better than me. Managed 5 keepers but had alot of 11 inchers. Only good water was around the corner from Commisary and down that bank. Did talk to someone who caught several good fish early in Prien.
