If you plan on using it a lot I say just go with the .40 sw round. Simply because of price.

10mm is only a little bigger but is much more pricey and has a lot more kick.

But if you got money why not. Just depends on what you plan to do. I wanted to get a little riffle that shoots .17hmr. But the price difference between it and a .22 for gun and rounds was just too much for just bs ing around ya know

10mm have a tendancy to tumble. Go with the .45acp best close quarter hand gun round ever invented. There is a reason the 10mm has been around forever and has never gained popularity.

I have a 40 m&p already and honestly I've never shot a gun I've liked more...I love the feel of a 1911 more than my m&p and it just so happens my buddy has one he's trying to sell and it's 10mm it's nice too it's a kimber. He wants 750 for it...I'm seriously considering it.

I have a springfield 1911 .45 and its the sweetest shootin gun I have ever shot. The way things are goin ammo wise lately I would go with a more common round. Something that would be more readily available that you wouldnt have to order. For example my buddy just got a 1911 in 38 super and ammo is expensive unless he orders bulk, which it is still high.

thats the same thing I'd say! 1911=.45acp I'm not a fan of the .38 super either! if you buy a gun, get one you can stock up on ammo not one you have to order it every time you want to shoot.

I have a glock 10mm. its a sweet shooting gun with some serious firepower. Not a gun for small hands though. Not a bad kick either, compared to some of the other 10's out there.

Ill stick to the 40......only cause of price and availability of rounds......the 40 ain't far behind the 10 in stopping power, plus it doesn't have the size.......consealability is everything
