Default Big Lake 7-15-09

Made a trip to the lake this morning. First cast with top water and bam it was on. Caught my limit by 8:15,and 3 reds probably would have been earlier but the boats wanted to pass and see what you were catching. Caught 12 more that was released. Had one trout had a 10" redfish in his belly. Most were caught on top and rest of them caught on sand eels. Had a set of birds make up about 500yrds from me so I took off on my trolling motor and seen 3 boats coming wide open and they ran right into the birds, shutdown and started casting and didnt catch a fish hum wounder why?

nice catch! i was on flock of birds other afternoon, and big lake guide service boat pulls up and cuts me off and stays in front of me the whole time cutting me off everytime. he must have had 36 volt trolling motor cause i could not keep up. Then I get frustrated and leave. Get on another flock of birds and what do you know same guide comes cut me off again. I would just think if u are a guide and u know the lake that well, why would u be chasing birds! Because you dont want customers to see your spots!
