Salt Water Barrier 09_24_2010

Today at the Salt Water Barrier from 1430h to 1600h. Same as yesterday except I was fishing alone. Caught 10 reds but only kept 4 for supper.

Small schools would pop up and then go back down after only about 5 minutes. The chase was on. They would come up about 200yds away from me and go down right as I got there. Fishing with 2 rods is a blast. I had a gold spoon on 1 and a sparkle beetle on the other. I had a hook-up on the spoon, reeled it to the boat with about 2ft of line out, pick up the other rod w/ sparkle beetle and hook another fish, get it to the boat and the school would be gone. I would then take the fish off and repeat.

Very Fun Afternoon

When I was leaving to go home the boat launch at the Salt Water Barrier was really starting to stack up with boats. Glad I left when I did, the water was about to become very small.
