Tree Experts
I'm fixin' to prune my live oak trees again . Seems like every time I cut say a 6" limb, 20 more branches grow out of the cut and make the tree even more 'bushier'. Years ago I would see tree guys (arborist?) paint the stub with some kind of tar-like substance to prevent rot. Will this stop more unwanted growth? If not I'm gonna make some sheet metal caps of some kind. .
