Default Good news on the drilling moratorium front

I got some info last night that they are really fixing to go back to drilling in 1000 feet of water. This company is readying a rig to hopefully start drilling by next week.

I heard from different people yesterday that the white house is trying to make this thing go away without makng it a big deal. I'm hoping they saw their mistake and just don't want to admit the republicans were right.... I'm not getting my hopes to high yet but I sure hope all of this ngood news is true!! The power of prayer is amazing so I'm gonna keep on praying that this is really going to happen.

Ken Salazar was in the gulf region the other day and said he would consider pushing the lift but, there were still more tests to be done first. It sounds at least a small step in the right direction!

Obamas committee HE put together is also starting to say the blanket moratorium wasn't a fair shake

I heard the same thing yesterday, but the company is drilling with surface BOP stacks via a platform rig which is the same type of rigs used in water depths less than 500'. All the big subsea rigs are still stacked.

There are deepwater rigs running. But there are no new exploration wells being drilled.
But it is reaching farther than that. The company I work for had everything lined up
to drill in shallow water off of Alaska and that was canned by the gov't a couple
weeks ago also.
They are going to nit pick and let Salazar decide what needs to be drilled and what
doesn't need to be drilled.
Charlie Meloncon (democrat from La.) wrote legislation to lift the moritorium, but it
also stated that Salazar's position has the o.k. to approave any new drilling permits
anywhere in U.S. waters.
Thankfully, the Republicans voted that down.

Oh I know we are in bad shape right now I was just amazed to hear this company was going to be allowed to drill in 1000 feet of water. Hell I have been told by friends that coastal drilling can't even get a permit for rig 21 and it was suppose to be back at work by now.
