Default Heading to RockEfella

Hey guys i'm heading to rockefella this weekend in search of specs, flounder, reds, or anything else that would like to bite. Anyone have any tips on where to fish or even just find some live or dead shrimp at a store or cast netting? Haven't been there in years but do remember where most of the weirs are.

There is a store in PI you can buy dead shrimp at... On the right side of the road gas station I think it is blue.... You should be able to castnet for bait at weirs

I'm a little confused by that last statement there with the La Purchase cards...

but anyways are you saying that i should be able to catch some fish by this statement " if you wait until you get there it is ova wit. Catch you sum live at da weirs. "

I'll let you know how we do

From time to time, Rockafella looks like a Tarzan Movie, especially the wiers on Price Lake Rd. La Purchase card, their food stamps be runnin low so we gotts to go catch us sum dem crabs. If you wait to buy froze bait and BOOT'S don't have any you are S.O.L.

The store south of Kaplan is Gulfway marine. There is also Stelly's, it is on the right after you cross the big bridge over the intercoastal.

When you leave the landing go left at the T, that is were most of the cement locks are. You can castnet for live bait there, you can also catch a few crabs on the marsh side also, a nice little bonus, if you like 'em.

If you go right at the T, run down the canal, the first long cut on the left is ASR's infamous "Bertrand Canal".

Good Luck! Give us an update!

Thanks for the update. We have been doing pretty well on the Reds in Rockefeller. That is all I fish for though.
