i did the timber framing, roofing, built the isokern fireplace unit, and my guys did the brick work , slate flooring, granite, and stain work. why do you ask r u a flooring guy?

no, I'm a painter by trade...but I've been involved in building houses and remodeling since I could could walk. dads been building for 40+ years. Whats the one 2 by 4 up top for?

it was stain with a product called TWP . you need to holler at SALTY on here yall can sniff paint together

the 2x4 is temp. its acting as a collar tie to keep the 4x8 rafters from pushing the vertical post and headers out . im waiting on my iron guy to make a round steel allthread type peice that will be powder coated in place of the 2x4 but his supplier sent him the wrong material so ill have to go install it when he fabs it for me

that is a sweet arse fireplace. ive been wantin ta do one outdoors. how much one of those cost. i can get all the antique bricks i want for nuthin!! off the old riviana rice mill warehouse. holla and gimme that price. just a guestimate i know. im serious bout this

look on the isokern website the "patio " series runs about 800.00 ive installed some that are 8000.00 though just depends on how big you want the opening and how tall the chimney you want.
