I wouldn't bring those scale insects over here. In many places Roseau cane is the only thing holding your marsh together, and these bugs wipe it out.

This ^^^^^ And since they are a non native invasive species . I imagine there would be some very hefty fines associated with transporting them anywhere.

I've had good success with the same mixture described by jpcajun: glyphosphate and imazapyr with a surfactant. 3 ounces per gallon for each and as good a foliar coverage as you can get. It's painfully slow to die and deteriorate, especially since I couldn't burn it after it was dead. But it has stayed gone.
