I was telling my wife the other day that I expected much better outcomes for these kind of situations in Calcasieu Parish than in places like Dallas, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans.
It was good to see the law out with hard body armor, ballistic shields, helmets, and long guns as warranted by the circumstances.
I think in some politically correct urban areas the "de-militarization" of law enforcement has contributed to LEO deaths.
The second amendment surely applies to police as much as to other citizens, and I hate to see political correctness deprive them of the arms and armor they need.
