For the money you cannot beat the Marlin Model 60. I payed $100 for mine a few years ago, but I'm not sure on the prices right now.

From what I have heard, most of the 25+ year old Marlin model 60 have the problem of bullets jamming.....mostly on the first one that is manually put into the chamber by bulling the breach back, after loading the magazine. Mine shoots well and no jamming....except I have to put the first bullet in the chamber and then close the breach. I bought mind used......so I don't know any "history" on this gun. Any problems with the newer model 60's? |

My new model 60 has jammed maybe once in a few thousand rounds, and I think that was due to cheap ammo. My buddy dropped it in the dirt a few years ago and it still shoots great despite needing a serious cleaning. |
