Definitely doing it. I usually take it out iun the yard and throw it as far as possible with big lead head and walk back to it while reeling with good tension to where rod is bent. To be fair I did not do this with the Stren but no matter is Berkeley Trilene from now on and doing this leaving the launch. Never fails when u have problems it's usually on the fish and this time was really on the fish surrounded by 3 guide boats. So taking a little extra time is gonna be worth it I know. It just makes sense!!
