Hunting for that perfect holiday season gift or stocking stuffer for family or friends can sometimes be a daunting task. For help in tracking down a present for a loved one, please don't forget about your Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) this holiday season.

LDWF offers gifts from the Baton Rouge headquarters Library and online store featuring the Louisiana Conservationist magazine, outdoor books from local authors about building and maintaining deer habitats, cookbooks featuring native Louisiana species and a guide to fishes of the Gulf of Mexico. LDWF also sells identification posters of native Louisiana species such as saltwater and freshwater fish, waterfowl, amphibians and insects. Lastly, LDWF is selling a new larger LDWF insignia buck knife.

To order or view these items, please visit LDWF's online store at http://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/onlinestore/ or call 225-765-2918. All of these items are also for sale in the Library at the LDWF headquarters located at 2000 Quail Dr. in Baton Rouge.

"Finding the perfect gift for your favorite angler or hunter was never any easier," said Thomas Gresham, assistant director of LDWF's Public Information Office. "We've assembled an assortment of books, maps and gifts to suit any outdoors enthusiast."
