You can also launch before the Gibstown bridge, run the Intercostal, go into the Burns, hit the Superior Ditch and have some awesome fishing...both in the canal and the marshes that surround it. Good luck and be careful!
X2 Sacalait in Superior, drop jigs in the "holes" spread through the grass beds.

I was told you have to carry $1,000,000 insurance.

Because of wrecks and death in boating accident.

Went yesterday in the 40mph wind and fishing was tuff. Water on the south end(Little Chenier) was stained up and the grass and salvania was horrible. That is the worst opening I have had in the last 5 yrs. It will get better when it clears up some. Don't know what the front looks like I wasn't going to fight it to get there

Back before the hurricanes I use to catch ice chests full there of sacs and goggle eyes. Try the CY canals and Humble too. I would fish the pockets between the grass and the bank. pearl colored tube jigs fished a foot under a tube cork was the ticket back then. I sure miss my 25 hp boat.
