I understand, but my point is that by the time that fish is 8-12lbs it has done more than it's share of putting good genetics back into the pool.

But why kill it? I just dont understand some ppls thinking... If your gonna keep a big one to mount as your personal best then thats find. I understand that. But alot of ppl will kill every single fish they catch no matter the size. Just make no sense to me.

If i wanted to mount one i'd keep one that big, otherwise i wouldn't. Either way, a legal fish is a legal fish, and no matter what people keep every year, year in and year out lacassine is full of big ones.

A fish is a fish and coonasses like to eat. I have no problem with it.
