Could be. The only two spiders we have that are a concern don't build webs you will walk into. Although all are venomous to a point it isn't an issue as a general rule. Granted there is the possibility of an allergic reaction much like some people with bees. I got bit twice on my left bicep by what I assume is a spider. Other than itching and taking 2 months to heal there has been no real issue.
