NOAA is usually pretty accurate. There is a link to it if you click on the Weather/Tidea/Manchester button at the top of this page.

You need to look at more than only wave height also. The eriod of the waves is very important.

2' seas with a period of 5 seconds is nice. 2' with a period of 2 seconds will be an uncomfortable ride.
