I may need to start another thread, but I am in the market for an aluminum boat also, just not a gator tail, and haven't heard of the crimp effect. I have however expericed the slide in most aluminum boats. Are there other aluminum hulls out there built to prevent/minimize this slide?
Thanks.

On a mud motor application it is hard to stop that slide effect all together. The Extreme crimp does do a great job of making the boat not slide as much. But it really all boils down to tiller time in learing how to react to your boat to make it turn like you want.
