Or find a spacer to place in between my step and the lss2 transducer to lower it a few inches

Lawrence, I thought you were getting good results by moving yours to the "step" part of your hull like I did. Mine works great there.

That's is my transducer. I actually moved off the step and it's on the v bottom under the step.

Im referring to my lss2 structure scan. It reads like it should 0-10mph. But I want it to read and producr an image when on step. It wont be clear but you can see the bottom.
