You could get some alligator wings. Actually these are the legs of small gators. Deep fried and something different.
I made gumbo balls for the Endymion parade party I went to. Those were a big hit! You can do the same thing (which I did not long ago)with red beans and rice. Basically like deep fried boudin balls.
