The camera on there is very good quality. They are synced to your phone so u can watch live feed and control it that way. Have one at work to look at places can't get to on foot. It would go out about 800 yes if u had it in direct sight but would lose signal 300-400 yds if no visual and would come back to u on its own once it lost signal. They DO NOT FLOAT as is not even for one second. Ours went down on Fausae Pointe due to operator error. Whole lake issue 4 ft deep and it went down in the channel I could see u coming up with some great ideas for additions to put on the drone. They are real cool. Seen some with pontoons
