I have an 18ft Nautic Star with a 90 Yammy and my big debate right now is should I get a bigger boat. Let me say that I absolutely love my Nautic Star, but it's just small, especially trying to fish 3 people - not impossible, but everyone dang sure has to know how to cast. Just boat is small.
If I get a bigger boat would just like to try a different brand... I could care less about speed. 40mph is plenty fast enough for me. Just want a well laid out boat that is comfortable enough to fish 3 and occasionally take the family -for that once a year outing... |

So I call to get a price quote on the Frontier and ask for 2 quotes - one with a 150 yammy and one with a 200 yammy. The salesman proceeds to tell me that the 200 is a piece of junk and that they have never sold one with anything but a 150.
what gives - too lazy to swap motors or must be incentivized to push what they have?? |

The dealer is right and This is why I have the F150. After doing more research, the yamaha 200 4 stroke is not that great of a motor. Their 150 and 225 are great, but for whatever reason, the 200 isn't up to par. If you want a 200, you need to go 2 stroke with either the optimax or the hpdi. |
