i had a 72 mako that i epoxyed the transducer inside the hull and it worked great, but now i have a 02 pathfinder and i did it again when i originally bought the boat. pathfinder has a composite mix hull, so they put a special place in the hull just for the inside transducer. after about a year, i started having trouble with it and never got it to glue in real well, so i took it out and mounted it on the transom. only problems now is that when i scrape the mud and shell in shallow waters( which i do real often ) it kicks the transducer up and i've got to reset it.
