Dang I shoulda rechecked this post......I got antsy and booked the marriot courtyard in Covington. Looked safe enough from the internet pics......LOL wish me luck

You will be fine there. You will be much better off there than some hotel off I-10/I-12 in Slidell. Check out the Chimes for dinner. Its just north of your hotel on Hwy 190. Madisonville is very close if you want to take up the guys offer there.
