I have gotten to the point I won't bid against other builders because other builders don't price tge home the way tge ar****ect drew it ( substitute lesser price/ quality materials, 24" oc rafters not 16"o.c. Etc) IMO bidding also creates tension between potential client and builder. The way I see it is it costs what it costs I'm not adding an extra 20k to the job incase you try to beat me up on the price and if you commit to me as
being your builder b4 I give you a price it's gonna be the same # as if I had to bid against other builders. Bottom line I'm very honest and ethical with my business not all builders are , but if you spend some time with potential builders and their job sites I'm sure you can make tge right choice.
