Ole lady was napping around 2p so I decided to sneak away to the basin for a few hrs and drowned some crickets. Pulled up to first stop, tied up to a cypress knee and whacked em! Never moved. All on same bed. Every cast for two hrs. Threw back ALOT! Final count... 51

Nice catch. Love the color on that dude. I want to go try Henderson cause I've never fished there before, and all y'all posting all these fish really makes me want to, but everytime I drive past, all the boats change my mind. All I got is a pirogue.

Go launch at Kern's landing on the levee in Henderson and paddle down the boulevard. Huge cypress flat all down there on the left just a few hundred yards Once you get in the trees you won't see a boat hardly


Awesome catch! I've never hit them on one bed in Henderson ever in the last 30 years of fishing it. I can never find them like that. But good to know it can happen.
