Congratulations to Sulphur's own Shane Hanchey
Hanchey is a world champion after winning the tie-down roping title at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nev., Saturday night. The 24-year-old Hanchey dominated the field, plac...ing first twice, second twice and third once during the 10-round competition. It is Hanchey's first world title, according to www.prorodeo.com. Steer wrestler Casey Martin, also of Sulphur, finished sixth in average place and fourth in the world standings at the NFR.
