With the front moving through yesterday and fishing tough things just had to get better. Not really. My offshore trip for today was canceled and so was Lee's. We decided to go looking for trout. I was hoping they would come in the river as soon as the water temp got low enough. We got some live shrimp and went on a hunt. We found them today and it was lock and load. The scene quickly went from this,
to this.
and in less than 45 minutes we had our 2 man limit of 50 trout. time to clean up the boat and head to the barn.
We unloaded my boat and put them in the cooler at the houseboat.
Back at 9:45 so we had a brunch and relaxed. I was asked to take somebody out in the afternoon so out I went again. I went to the same place and although they were still around things had changed. I spent all afternoon just to find 33 trout. Still a respectable catch but after this morning I was wanting a repeat.
Nice to see the trout moving in for the winter.
In one of my past offshore reports I mentioned large sharks eating very big tuna. This came in today.
Life is Good!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
