I don't buy into the whole margarin is one molecule away from being plastic deal. Oxygen is only one molecule away from being carbon dioxide, should we stop using it?

Margarine does have more healthy fats then butter and less Trans fats, depending on the margarine. Solids, like sticks, contain more Trans fats while tubs of spread have less.

For me, it's butter all the way. Changing my butter up is like fancying up my ranch, I don't need any of that low fat or extra buttermilk stuff - classic hidden valley all the way.

Plus, if you are relying on leaving butter for margarine, or looking for light options in little things that compliment your food, then you have way bigger problems with your diet to worry about.
