Dude Ortemond produced nothing but giant gaff top for me. Every cast for about thirty minutes then I left

Way to go, Man. We kept 9 nice specs at the TP yesterday morning through about 1 P.M. 3 guys fishing very hard. Fished VERY slowly on the bottom and a few under a cork. They only wanted glow plastic. Then went to Tee Butte right before dark and kept 8 more. Friend had never caught a gafftop, so we checked 4 large groups of birds outside the pass and he got his fill of the slimey bustards!

Fished Sunday am. Worked the Cove, 2 specks, then wanted to head south, but looked like a storm cell in the pass, so we stayed....tried Cote Blanche and then back to the Cove...managed 1 red. Live bait for the specks and root beer stingray for the red. No other bites.

Okay, I've tried twice to find it. Got the GPS coordinates from La. Sportsman, but as I passed over the coordintates, I noticed no difference in the depth. Tried again yesterday cuz I read a post that it was marked by white PVC posts, but although I found some posts near the coordinates, once again, I noticed no difference in the depth readings.

Go straight out the Quintana and when you almost even with blue point start looking for those limb line sticks. They like bamboo. PVC markers are on outside. I drug the whole reef. They got some GOOD humps but only in one general area. Good luck. Got crab traps? there's a hint
