I've always been completely satisfied with zip lock. But we were recently given a Food Saver that we're beginning to experiment with. Lost a nice fillet in the Food Saver earlier this week, not sure why. But we hardly ever lose fish with the zip lock technique. Zip lock is heavier (due to the water), but also travels really well. I'm cleaning most of our fish these days in Calcasieu, Grand Isle, or Leeville, and I have enough stuff to drag around and remember, I don't need to worry about the Food Saver and the bags too.

If I'm only gonna be gone for a day or two I just put the fillets in a gallon bag bring them home and vacuum seal em. If I'm gone for more than a weekend I bring the machine with me
