That was a serious storm, good decision to leave them biting and try another day. I am no expert but the big trout that I have caught did not fight like a 4 or 5 pounder. Once I realize that I have a really big one on I back off on the drag and let it run it self down way out from the boat, four laps usually wears them out. The wildness comes when she sees the net. CPR the really big ones.
