Say W......I sometimes run across some of those "penny" stocks that have a very good charts. I saw one last night that had trippled in the last 6 month. I think the market cap was < 200k and sold for ~ $ 4.
Never day traded......but I have wanted to sometime buy a stock after a big dip or when there was some kind of breaking new on some company. Before I retired, I was really thinking of taking ~ 25K and see what I could do with this money in a few months. Back in 1999 the market really had some stocks that took big swings. One guy where I worked made 150K++ in a couple of month buying and selling QCOM a couple of times.
