When one of the grey bastids grab your trout put your reel in free spool. They usually just want to play w/ the trout .once it quits pulling back they drop it. Then ya better be reelin!

another thing I found is when they start chasing if one of the other people on the boat sticks their rod tip in the water and splashes around it throws them off. Must mess with their sonar or something
