Default Shooters...

If any of the SC shooters know where I can find .223 / 5.56 Nato ammo, could you please let me know? I'm looking for a little more than a box of 20 rounds, preferably 200-300 bulk. If you happen to learn of a shop or store getting a shipment in, let me know. SW Louisiana completely dried up during the holidays.

Thanks.

Oh, and Happy New Year to everyone.

LOL! Good luck! You can get it on gunbroker right now but, you're going to pay about a dollar a round! People are going nuts right now and, it doesn't seem to be cooling off anytime soon.

Go to SGammo.com. Just checked and, they have what you may be looking for in stock. I order from them a decent bit and, they're normally pretty quick.

Good luck with that! There is a gun show in Lake Charles this weekend. I imagine the line will be out the door waiting for it to open. I bet they will be sold out of 223 in 10 minutes.

Looks like I may have to break out the ol' reloading equipment and buy some .223 dies. Dave's and Lafayette Shooters are out. SG ammo has me on their "notify" list when they get a new shipment in. And you're right about Gunbroker and a bunch of other sites. I'm not paying a dollar a round for plinkin' ammo.
There's a gun show in Lafayette on Feb 9/10 which is half a mile from my house. I'll give them a try if I'm not fishing.

They sell stuff over retail already BEFORE the recent gun conflicts.

I've been on the lookout for anything that is labeled 5.56 or .223 and, right now, it's pretty much non-existent! Brownells usually has a lot of AR stuff in and, right now, you can't even buy a charging handle from them!
