Default VB Saturday

Any thoughts on the bay this weekend? Finally got a day off without rain or wind. Been hearing a few reports of fish in Weeks bay.

Gunna be a mud hole after that strong north wind. If I had to go I would hit up marsh island or shark bayou for redfish. Going wet a line at rockafeller tomorrow.

Gotta go to know....I would think weeks bay would be muddy being exposed to the 30-40mph north wind that just pushed. The area from shark bayou by the state park down to blue point may be a better option. Fish the outlet about halfway to blue point, there is a 10 foot hole right there. If the water temp drops below 55 degrees it will be very tough to catch trout.

Yeah redfish are biting are the deep lake canals....be careful at the mouths of the canals they are silted in pretty bad. Taking my podnas tunnel hull to get to the sweet spot.

did you go?

I went and I tell you what... It was BAD! All of sharks bayou the cuts in sharks bayou, all of weeks bay and the cuts in there were all MUD. Super low tide this morning. Around the middle of the day some prettier water pushing in around mud point and we ended up catching 10 trout and 2 reds. The cove looked decent, we tried only for 10-15 minutes in there with zero luck. I guess the north wind pushed water out of the intercoastal into all the cuts and thats why weeks and the cuts were all nasty.

Water temp was 48 this morning, warmed up to 55 around 2:00

Tide was super low at rockafeller too....the bulkheads are nice but the launch sucks. Trailer went off the end of the cement luckily got out with no damage. Didn't even launch the boat....went to white lake and caught a few catfish and 2 reds.

Default ditto

same thing happened to me about a month ago. Appears the end of the launch is at the end of the middle buckhead. Way too short when the tide is down.

Fished all over today. Zero fish at southwest pass as the tide was coming in. Fished in Bayou Michelle then back to the Cove and Mud Point with no bites. Finally one trout at the Trash Pile. Then gave it 30 minutes before going home. Lowest I have seen the water in quite a while.
