Dude, add the GXM 31 antenna and get XM weather and Radio.....
Add the G2 vision card and the unit comes to life.

make sure you download the 5.0 upgrade (free of the garmin site) and you will even have more to brag about.

I have the 540s I love it.
The new unit just operates on the NMEA 2000. The older unit the NMEA 0183 ( I think)
