Default Big lake in the AM...

Me and BIL r gonna go in the morning...launching at Calcasieu Point...I guess we'll start in Turners early and from there work south. Plan on looking for birds and then try to find some flounder and redfish. Good idea, I hope. Will post report tomorrow. Wish us luck!

Well...the day did not go as planned...started off in Turners, but saw zero birds working...hit a few other spots and caught exactly one keeper trout, one big croaker and one rat red...then the storm came! We ran to Heberts and got out of it and after that, we went back but the water had muddied up...so, we were on the trailer at 1:00...sorry that we were no help...

I did get a chance to talk to Capt. Gaspard while we waited for the rain and lightening to stop at Heberts...he was extremely nice to a new-comer.
